How to report an error
Tell us the article URL, what is wrong, and, if you can, a source that shows the correct information. See the contact page. We read every report.
What we do
- Factual errors (a wrong configuration flag, a misdescribed attack, an outdated vendor default) are fixed in the article, and the article’s updated date changes.
- Significant errors, ones that could lead a reader to make a worse security decision, are also noted at the end of the article and listed below.
- Typos and formatting are fixed without a note.
We do not silently remove published articles to hide mistakes.
